Cat & I started with a simple frustration. Catherine wanted a rashie she could wear from the beach to lunch without feeling like she was dressed for surf school. Everything on the shelf was either a boxy men's cut in black or a kids' print sized up. So she designed her own.
The name is exactly what it sounds like. Cat, and I. A husband and wife team in Melbourne who spend summers by the water and know that in Australia the sun is not optional.
What we make
Women's long sleeve rashies with a front zip, convertible rashies that unzip into a swim dress, long sleeve swimsuits and matching bikini separates. Every piece is rated UPF 50+, which blocks around 98% of UV, and is cut to fit a woman's body rather than a unisex pattern. We design in Melbourne and release small runs of our own prints, so you will not see your rashie on half the beach.
Our Sustainable range
Our Sustainable pieces are made from recycled Italian Carvico fabric, spun from reclaimed nylon such as discarded fishing nets and fabric offcuts. It is soft, holds its shape through chlorine and salt, and resists fading.
