To start you off, here are 5 ways to incorporate it into your routine.
- Sunscreen - a no brainer here and the higher the SPF the better. Apply 20 minutes before heading out (especially on your face before makeup) and don’t forget to reapply ie: carry some with you.
- Hat – a hat is a must if you’re going to be out and about where there isn’t much shade around. A cap can protect the face but a lovely wide brimmed hat not only looks stylish but can protect ears, neck and face.
- Sunglasses – yes the sun can also cause damage in your eyes hence sunglasses are important. Make sure they are UV protective and there are so many fabulous styles out there to choose from.
- Shade - shade is a good way of being sun safe and things like umbrellas or shade tents at the beach can help keep you safe as well as cool.
-
Sun protective clothing – sun protection clothing or rashies are a fabulous way of protecting your skin from the sun. Used in conjunction with sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and shade, it can be a great way to stay safe this summer.
